These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the Website. By accessing or using the Website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Website.
The Website is a personally operated website maintained by J. R. Lenz. It is not presented as a separate company or business entity.
2. Website Operator and Contact
The Website is operated by:
J. R. Lenz
Murcia, Negros Occidental 6129
Philippines
For general inquiries concerning these Terms, contact:
Email: [email protected]
For privacy-related inquiries, contact [email protected].
For copyright complaints, see the DMCA Copyright Takedown Policy in Part II.
3. Permitted Use
You may access and use the Website for lawful, personal, and informational purposes.
You agree not to:
- Use the Website in violation of applicable law or regulation.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Website, its underlying systems, or administrative interfaces.
- Interfere with the operation, security, or availability of the Website.
- Introduce malicious software, scripts, or other harmful material.
- Attempt to circumvent security controls or access restrictions.
- Use automated requests in a manner that unreasonably burdens or disrupts the Website.
- Copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, or commercially exploit Website content except as permitted by applicable law or with appropriate authorization.
Nothing in these Terms prohibits activities that applicable law expressly permits.
4. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise indicated, the Website's original content, design, graphics, text, code, and other materials are owned by or used under authorization by J. R. Lenz.
All rights not expressly granted are reserved, subject to applicable law and any third-party rights that may apply.
You may view and use Website content for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, publish, or commercially exploit protected material without permission, unless such use is permitted by applicable law.
Third-party names, trademarks, software, and other materials remain the property of their respective owners. Their appearance on the Website does not imply endorsement or affiliation unless expressly stated.
5. User Submissions
The Website does not provide public functionality for users to upload, publish, or submit content for display to other visitors.
If you contact the Website operator directly by email or another available communication method, you remain responsible for the content of your communication. Information received through private correspondence will be handled as described in the Privacy Policy and as required by applicable law.
Nothing in this section creates a public submission service or grants the Website operator rights to content beyond those reasonably necessary to respond to a communication or handle a related request.
6. Third-Party Services and Links
The Website may use or link to third-party services, websites, or infrastructure, including content-delivery services.
Third-party services are operated independently and may be subject to their own terms, privacy policies, and practices. The Website operator does not control third-party services and is not responsible for their content, availability, or practices, except to the extent responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded.
A link to an external website does not necessarily imply endorsement of that website or its operator.
7. Website Availability and Changes
The Website is provided on an as-available basis. Access may occasionally be interrupted or restricted for maintenance, security, technical reasons, or circumstances beyond the operator's control.
The operator may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Website at any time. No guarantee is made that the Website will remain continuously available, error-free, or compatible with every device or browser.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Website and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties or guarantees of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.
The operator does not warrant that Website content will always be complete, accurate, current, uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors or harmful components.
Content is provided for general informational purposes and is not professional, legal, financial, medical, or other specialized advice unless expressly identified as such. You are responsible for evaluating whether information is suitable for your circumstances.
Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, J. R. Lenz will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from or related to the use of, or inability to use, the Website.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator's total liability for claims arising from the Website or these Terms will be limited to the extent legally permissible in the circumstances.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law, including any liability that cannot legally be waived.
10. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to be responsible for losses, liabilities, and reasonable expenses directly arising from your unlawful use of the Website or your material violation of these Terms.
This provision does not require you to indemnify the operator for the operator's own conduct where applicable law prohibits such a requirement, and it does not limit any rights that cannot lawfully be restricted.
11. Privacy
Use of the Website is also subject to the Website's Privacy Policy, which describes the technical information and preferences that may be processed when you visit the Website.
The Privacy Policy forms part of the information governing your use of the Website. If you have questions about privacy practices, contact [email protected].
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
The Website is personally operated by J. R. Lenz, a United States citizen residing in the Philippines. The Website's origin servers are physically located in a United States datacenter on hardware owned and administered by the Website operator.
The location of the operator, the location of the Website's infrastructure, the nature of a particular claim, and other relevant circumstances may affect which laws apply.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, these Terms are intended to be interpreted consistently with applicable Philippine law, and disputes relating to these Terms or the use of the Website may be brought before a court with appropriate jurisdiction in the Philippines.
This section does not exclude the application of United States law or any other law where that law applies, nor does it exclude mandatory rights, protections, or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived. Nothing in this section guarantees that a particular court will accept jurisdiction or that only one country's laws will apply to every dispute.
13. Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be updated from time to time. The revised version will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
Your continued use of the Website after revised Terms are published may constitute acceptance of the changes to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree to revised Terms, you should discontinue use of the Website.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the extent permitted by law. Any invalid or unenforceable provision will be interpreted or limited only to the extent necessary to comply with applicable law, where legally permitted.
15. Contact

Part II — DMCA Copyright Takedown Policy
1. Purpose and Scope
This policy describes how J. R. Lenz, the individual operator of jrlenz.com, handles copyright complaints concerning material available on the Website.
The Website does not offer public user-upload or user-publishing functionality. This policy therefore concerns complaints about material appearing on the Website itself, rather than the administration of a public platform for user-generated content.
This policy is intended to provide a clear contact and review procedure. Its publication does not represent a claim that the Website qualifies for any particular statutory safe harbor or legal exemption.
2. Submitting a Copyright Complaint
If you believe that material available on the Website infringes a copyright you own or are authorized to represent, you may submit a written notice to:
Email: [email protected]
Subject: Copyright Notice – jrlenz.com
Please include enough information for the operator to identify the material and evaluate the complaint.
A notice intended to meet the requirements of the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), where applicable, should include:
- Identification of the copyrighted work. Identify the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed. If multiple works are involved, provide a representative list where appropriate.
- Identification of the material. Identify the material you believe infringes your copyright and provide the specific URL or other information sufficient to locate it.
- Your contact information. Provide your name, mailing address, telephone number if available, and email address.
- Good-faith statement. Include a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- Accuracy and authority statement. Include a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury where required by the DMCA, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
- Signature. Include a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
A notice that omits information required by applicable law may not be sufficient to trigger the legal procedures associated with that law. If your complaint is not intended as a formal DMCA notice, you may still contact the operator with details of the concern.
3. Review and Response
The operator will review copyright complaints received through the contact address above.
Depending on the circumstances, the operator may:
- Request additional information to identify the work, material, or rights involved.
- Review the material and the information provided.
- Remove, disable access to, or modify material where appropriate.
- Decline to take action where a complaint is insufficient, unsupported, or does not establish a basis for removal.
- Take other steps appropriate to the circumstances and applicable law.
The operator may retain relevant correspondence and records as reasonably necessary to assess the complaint, document the response, or comply with legal obligations.
Submitting a notice does not guarantee that material will be removed, and the operator does not promise a particular response time.
4. Counter-Notifications and Disputed Claims
If material is removed or access is disabled in response to a copyright complaint, and you believe the removal resulted from mistake or misidentification, you may contact [email protected] with the subject line Copyright Counter-Notice – jrlenz.com.
Explain the basis for your objection and identify the material at issue. Include any supporting information relevant to the dispute.
Where a formal DMCA counter-notification procedure applies, the statutory requirements may include identification of the removed material and its former location, statements made under penalty of perjury, consent to the jurisdiction of a specified United States federal district court (or another statutory alternative in the circumstances), and a physical or electronic signature.
A message described as a counter-notice is not necessarily a legally sufficient DMCA counter-notification. The operator will assess the information received and follow any procedures required by applicable law. Restoration of material is not guaranteed.
5. Misrepresentations
Under United States copyright law, a person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing, or that material or activity was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, may be subject to legal consequences.
Copyright complaints and counter-notifications should therefore be made only after careful consideration of the relevant facts and rights.
Nothing in this policy prevents any person from exercising rights available under applicable law.
6. Copyright Contact and Designated Agent
For copyright complaints concerning jrlenz.com, contact:
J. R. Lenz
Email: [email protected]
Subject: Copyright Notice – jrlenz.com
This contact address is provided for direct communication with the Website operator. It is not a representation that the operator has registered a designated DMCA agent with the United States Copyright Office or that the Website has established eligibility for the DMCA's online-service-provider safe-harbor provisions.
Any statutory safe harbor or formal agent-registration requirement will depend on the applicable law, the nature of the activity, and the legal protections being claimed. The operator will not claim a protection or status that has not been established.
7. Policy Updates
This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the Website, its operation, or applicable law. The current version will be published on this page with its effective date.
